Summary
ATGM331C-5N series module is the genetic name of BDS/GNSS GPS navigation module series with good performance and 17X22.4 size. These series are based upon GNSSSOC single chip--AT6558, they support multiple systems such as BDS of China, GPS of the US, GLONASS of Russia, GALILEO of the EU, QZSS of Japan and Satellite augmentation system SBAS(WAAS, EGNOS, GAGAN, MSAS). AT6558 is the real meaning multide satellite navigation module, which contains 32 tracking channels and accept 6 GNSS signals of satellite navigation systems, it an also realize the joint positioning ,navigation and timing. This series module with the advantage of high sensitivity, low-power consumption and low cost is suitable for car navigation, handheld positioning, wearable device and can directly take place of U-blox MAX series module.

1.6 Assist GNSS (Assisted GNSS, AGNSS)
All ATGM331C-5N series modules support assist GNSS (AGNSS) function. AGNSS could supply essential support information of positioning for receivers, such as massage, rough position and time. These information can significantly shorten the time for the first time, whether it is in the strong signal environment or weak signal environment.
PPS
ATGM331C-5N series modules support precise second pulse output, pulse rising edge aligned with UTC time.
Output Protocol
ATGM331C-5N series modules output are based on NMEA0183 protocol form, and its output main channel is UART.
Flash
Flash configuration of ATGM331C-5N series modules can update position function and system by online upgrade function. Users can configure location refresh rate themselves to get suitable low power by using this configuration function. Also, users can update the latest optimization of global multi-mode positioning. In addition, users can add new control function such as location record, regular geographical enclosure and custom output format.
Online upgrade function
ATGM331C-5N series modules support the online upgrade agreement of us. Users can upgrade new software program into modules by the upgrade agreement and the communication with modules to gain new characteristics of software. Users can also remote control the devices to start the upgrade process mentioned above to realize remote online upgradation.
Antenna
ATGM331C-5N series modules support active antenna and passive antenna.
Upper computer tools
We provide "GNSSToolKit" Lite software pack (Windows Edition and Android Edition) for positioning output resolution and working mode configuration. We also provide UBF serial port upgrade tool software pack (Windows Edition) for online upgrade tools based on PC. The online upgrade program of device need to be explored by users.

2.7 Module application circuit
2.7.1 Active antenna applications (modules provide antenna power supply, antenna detection and short circuit protection)
Passive antenna applications (add LNA in module RF_IN input)
2.8 Considerations
In order to make full use of excellent performance of the module, users need to pay attention to the following points when using this module:
Use low ripple LDO power supply, control the ripple within 50mVpp
Vicinity of module should be no other high frequency and large amplitude digital signal. All modules are filled with ground wire.
The RF input pin should be as close as possible to the wireless interface module, and be attention to impedance matching of 50 ohm.
The module
has the active antenna access, pull out, short circuit detection circuit itself, the antenna power supply current limit (50mA), play the role of protection while in the antenna accident short circuit.

3. Test and Authentication of Reliable
3.1 RoSH Authentication
ATGM336H-5N series modules all meet the RoSH certification.
4. Delivery and Welding of Module
4.1 Package of Module
ATGM336H-5N series of modules use vacuum tape packaging, with moisture, anti-static and other characteristics, the process of using is compatible with the industry's major patch machine. Package method is 500 piece each set.
4.2 Transfer and storage of module
4.2.1 Moisture Level

4.2.2 Reflow profile
Attention:
1. Adjust the balance time to ensure a reasonable treatment of gas when solder paste melt. It can increase the balanced time if there is a lot of space.
2.Because the product will be placed in the weld zones(temperature will be over 180ºC),in order to prevent component and bottom plate from damaging, the placing time should be as short as possible.
Some important characteristic of curve:
Rising speed=1~4ºC/sec, 25ºC to 150ºC on average
Preheat temperature=140ºC to 150ºC,60sec ~ 90sec
Temperature fluctuation= 225ºC to 250ºC, about 30sec
Decent speed=2~6ºC/sec, to 183ºC, about 15sec
Total time= about 300sec
4.2.3 Electrostatic protection
ATGM331C-5N series module is one kind of electric sensitive elements. Regular electrostatic contact will cause the unexpected damage of module. Except standard ESD protection requirements, those following points should be followed:
The first position of module should always be PCB GND unless PCB GND has been connected to ground.Connect GND to ground first before signal lines.Do not touch charging capacity when contacting RF circuit, also please get away from devise and equipment which could generate static electricity such as dielectric antenna, coaxial cable and electric soldering iron, etc.Don't not touch medium exposed part of antenna to prevent RFIN from charge discharge. As for the exposed antenna, add ESD protection circuit.Please use non electrostatic gun when welding connectors connected with RFIN and antenna.
